Michael Kollwitz

Spend an Evening “In the Living Room” with Michael Kollwitz on June 8th

SEDONA, AZ — The Sedona International Film Festival’s “Living Room Music Series”, hosted by Shondra Jepperson, continues on Monday, June 8th at 7:00 PM at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre, featuring acclaimed Chapman Stick artist, author, and storyteller Michael Kollwitz.

Known for blending music, humor, and personal storytelling into an intimate live experience, Kollwitz has spent decades performing throughout the Southwest and beyond on the rare and expressive Chapman Stick — an instrument that allows him to play bass, melody, and rhythm simultaneously. His performances range from original compositions inspired by places like Hawaii and the American Southwest to imaginative interpretations of beloved classics.

In addition to his music career, Kollwitz is the author of What Music Teaches You About Everything and Stick With It – Adventures of a Chapman Stick Player, books that explore creativity, life lessons, and the deeper human connections found through music.

Whether performing in upscale resorts, intimate listening rooms, or concert halls, Michael creates a relaxed, engaging atmosphere that invites audiences not just to hear the music — but to experience the stories behind it.

Tickets and information are available through the Sedona International Film Festival and at Michael Kollwitz Official Website.
