I’m looking forward to presenting at the Arizona Music Educators Association Conference in Mesa on January 31, 2026.

My session, “Stick With It: Igniting Student Curiosity Through Music, Innovation, and STEAM,” explores curiosity from the student’s point of view — why some people stay connected to music for life, and how music educators help keep that spark alive.

I’ll also be bringing along the Chapman Stick®, which usually raises a few questions before I even play the first note.
